Mark 1:44
“And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.”
Jesus healed the leper, yet Jesus did not break the Mosaic Law. The cleansing of the leper was to follow a Mosaic ritual. Jesus sent him to a priest since he was now healed.
Additional teachings of Our Lord
When one speaks with authority, one speaks with great faith. When one is religious, one puts up a front. Religion or a church or ministry is likening unto a club.
Mark 2:7
“Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God only?”
Only God can truly forgive sins. (See also John 20:23)
Mark 2:21-22
“No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse. And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.”
What Jesus is saying is: He did not come to add to the Mosaic religion, or to change it. He came to bring something new, “Christianity.” Christianity and the Mosaic religion do not mix. It is like putting new wines into old bottles or putting a new patch on an old garment.
Additional teaching of Our Lord
Heaven is a place of refuge, a place of rest. Yet it is not the kingdom. There are no rewards in heaven, yet there are rewards in the kingdom. What reward would there be for one who has lived his life for himself or others? Those in heaven are separated from those in the kingdom, yet in the New Jerusalem, all will be together. For now, those separated are in the courtyard, while those in the kingdom are in the temple.
Mark 3:28-29
“Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:” (See also Matthew 12:31)
All sins can be forgiven, except blaspheme against the Holy Spirit. This is the unpardonable sin. Many modern bible teachers today will not accept that there is an unpardonable sin. When one blasphemes against the Spirit, he is ascribing that the works of the Spirit are the works of Satan. It is a terrible sin to follow Satan, but one that can be forgiven. Yet to condemn the Holy Spirits work as satanic is an insult, sin that is not forgiven. One may accuse you as a blasphemer for the things you say or do, yet that is not the same as accusing the spirit that is in you as the devil. Through the years, some have judged My prophets in this way.
Mark 3:33-35
“And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren? And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.”
One’s biological mother and brothers do not matter to Jesus. Unless they follow the will of God, they are not his mother and brothers, yet all that do follow the will of God are His family.
Mark 4:3-7
“Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up. And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.”
The sower, the Lord, went out to sow the word and truths of God. Some fell on the side, deaf ears, for their hearts did not want to hold it. Yet the Lord cleaned it up, as the fowls of the air came and Satan left no trace – gone forever. Some fell on stony ground where it sprang up, yet had no depth – religion. When the sun scorched, it had no root and withered away – the Great Tribulation. Some fell among thorns, the tares, and choked it and it yielded no fruit. (See also Luke 8:11-14)
Mark 4:8
“And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.” (See also Luke 8:15)
“Others fell on good ground,” they kept the word and lived it, and it did yield good fruit. “Some thirty, some sixty and some an hundred.” These yielded a greater crop than others did.
Mark 4:21-22
“And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick? For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.”
The entire saved see the light, God’s word and His truths. You, the candles are out in the open, not hid away. It brings with it responsibility, for the Lord does not want to keep secrets from His children. What you know and more is available to all who see the light. (See also Mark 5:14-16)
Additional teachings of Our Lord
So many today have become indifferent to spiritual truths, yet they are interested in signs and wonders. Have you noticed – that all the signs and wonders come through religion?
Most of the saved today are lost. They cannot find the Shepherd. They hear His voice, but do not want to come. They are distracted by the world and their religion, by Satan.
Man is a willful sinner. So when one tries to blame his sins on another – do not listen!
Mark 7:25-29
“For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet: The woman was a Greek, A Sy-ro-phe-ni’-cian by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter. But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs. And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children’s crumbs. And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.”
The Lord supplies grace to His own first, the children of Israel. Yet He does supply grace to the rest. This Greek woman although not saved, knew whom the Lord is. It is the same today; many unsaved know whom the Lord is. Religion teaches that all one must do is know the Lord to be saved. The churches are filled with many unsaved. Jesus came for the children of Israel, yet the rest benefit from His coming.
Mark 8:22-26
“And he cometh to Beth-sa’-i-da; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly. And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.”
Blindness – we are all first spiritually blind. As we grow, we are given partial sight by God. Yet that is not enough, there is more. Then God gives full sight. Yet one must be “born again” to receive his full sight. The Lord must put His hands on you twice – once is not enough. Most today have only partial sight. It is so much better than being blind. They go about proclaiming their good fortune, witnessing their way. Yet the Lord has only touched them once. Once the man has received his full sight, he is told, “neither go into the town nor tell it to any in the town.” Those that have full sight do not tell it to the world, as religion teaches, for with full sight comes maturity and obedience.
Mark 8:33
“But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men.”
All “things that be of men” are from Satan - ALL- no matter how well meaning or sounding. Peter’s response to Jesus –His rebuke about His death seems well meaning. Yet it is from Satan. Satan does and says many well meaning things through people.
Blood drives – it sounds and seems like a wonderful Christian gesture. Yet it is not from God. It is an abomination to God.
Ministering to others – how can it not be right to be sympathetic to another’s problems, to share their burden, to be ever loving and kind to someone in need? Religion teaches that this is what Jesus would do. Therefore, we should be like Jesus. Right? We are to help one find Jesus, so He may minister. One may have emotions and feelings toward another’s plight, that is all right, yet one must not cross the line. One who knows the Lord, needs no ministering from others, yet he needs fellowship and love. Ministering to most people is love, yet that is not love. What one really needs is the Lords love and ministering. When one does not know the Lord, his plight becomes an opportunity to do so, a way to come closer to Him. Satan seeks to take that away. He does so, so often, through well meaning people. It seems so right, it looks like good fruit, yet it is of Satan. Satan’s fruit can look good but not be ripe. How often have you seen a piece of fruit that looks good, yet when you taste it, it's not ripe, it's not good?
Mark 9:2
“And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.”
“Transfigured” means to see ones spirit without his body.
Mark 9:4
“And there appeared unto them E-li’-as with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.
E-li’-as is E-li’-jah – E-li’-jah represents the prophets who proclaimed the coming of Jesus. Moses represents the Law. They were talking about Jesus’ departure. (See also Luke 9:31)
Mark 9:5
“And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for E-li’-as.”
Peter spoke as would Satan, for his remarks placed E-li’-as and Moses on the same plane as Jesus. It is just like religion, to make the Law and the Prophets as important as Jesus.
Mark 9:8
“And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.”
“Jesus only” God has removed the importance of the Law and the Prophets. All that is important is Jesus.
Mark 9:9
“And as they came down form the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.”
Only after the resurrection of Jesus, should the disciples proclaim the true importance of Jesus. The Mosaic religion has the Law and the Prophets as the most important.
Mark 10:11-12
“And he saith unto them, Who soever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.”
All who divorce sin. The only exception is for unfaithfulness. (See also Matthew 5:32) Any who marry a divorced person, sins. Yet the sin for many started when they married, for they married either the wrong person or for the wrong reason. Today man divorces for many different reason, yet he mainly divorces for “self.” If one is in a bad marriage, God will help that person or couple to find a way that it will work. Yet what God wants, what He says, must come first, where today for most, “self” comes first. Therefore, man’s only solution to a bad marriage is divorce, that way “self” is served.
In God’s eyes, there is no such thing as an annulled marriage. The couple is considered divorced and in sin, despite court order or religious documents. Annulment is another way Satan breaks down the Way of God, the Truth of God. Man likes it, because it covers up his mistakes.
Divorce, like all sin, except one, can be forgiven. Yet to be forgiven of ones sin, one must first know it is a sin. Most today do not know that divorce is a sin, they carry their sins with them, they live in sin. How can one have a repented heart toward ones sin if he does not know it is a sin? To be forgiven of a sin, one must have a repented heart. Many would like to believe that they are forgiven of ALL their sins both known and unknown. Yet in truth, ignorance of sin does not give one immunity, for God will show every saved person his sins, if he truly wants to know them.
Mark 10:15
“Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.”
One needs to leave his cleverness, his sophistication and his great knowledge that he boasts of, and return to the simplicity of childhood – trust Jesus, with simple childlike faith.
The world’s great universities stimulate ones intellect and logic, ones soul, all things that are enemies of Jesus. In the time to come, there will be no great universities, no higher education, nothing to boast about.
Man today stimulates the soul and in doing so, leaves his spirit to Satan. His spiritual growth then comes from Satan, and not God, for Satan ministers and teaches, just as God does. He molds and shapes his disciples just as the Holy Spirit does His. Higher education brings with it the riches of the world, things promised by Satan. Some great universities even pass themselves off as blessings from God. Indeed, they lead you to believe God created them Himself. (Oral Roberts, Notre Dame, Liberty, Texas Christian – just to name a few). Yet these are the worst, for they are like wolves in sheep clothing. For they preach (say) many of the right things, yet they help sell the world, sell Satan to their students. You cannot mix oil and water – you cannot mix the world with Jesus by conforming to the world system.
Mark 10:17-18
“And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God.”
“There is none good but one, that is, God” for all fall short. How many times does the world call another a good person? There are no good persons. This man did not recognize Jesus as God, but as a teacher, so Jesus rebuked him for calling Him a good teacher, a good man.
Mark 10:21-22
“Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.”
Money will buy anything, except eternal life. A rich man’s possessions will always get in the way of following Jesus. To be rich, is much more a curse than a blessing, for one must be willing to give up his riches to follow Jesus. This man knew who Jesus was, and still could not give up his possessions. This man is saved, but he will not see the kingdom. He knew his Savior, yet could not do what was asked of him.
Mark10:25
“It is easier for a camel to go through to eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.”
Jesus is saying that it is not possible for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. A rich man can be saved, but they will follow their riches and not Jesus. To some, their riches are likened to a religion.
Mark10:26-27
“And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who than can be saved? And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.”
The disciples are talking about being saved out of this world, so they may enter the kingdom of God. They are not talking about eternal salvation. Jesus is saying that God has a way. The way of course is “Jesus Himself.” To see the kingdom, one must be obedient and follow Jesus. The rich man can be neither obedient nor can he follow Jesus. If he were to lose his riches, he can then be obedient and follow Jesus. Then however – he would no longer be a rich man. All things are possible with God, He could take away his riches, yet with his riches, it is impossible for him to follow Jesus, for God is not going to take away his free will.
Mark 12:25
“For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.”
All things are different after physical death. After three days, the period of cleansing, the saved shall be raised (spirit and soul) to heaven. They will be like the angels. There is no sex of male or female, no body, for you retain your names and identity. All the saved become like angels. Yet there are different kinds of angels, with different status, so it is with the saved.
Mark 12:36-37
“For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The Lord said to my Lord, sit thou on my right hand till I make thine enemies thy footstool. David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.
Jesus is speaking about Psalm 110. David, speaking of a future descendent of his, calls his own great-great-great-great-grandson his Lord. How can that be? The only way is because his grandson is the Lord through birth. Notice that Jesus, also says, the Holy Ghost spoke through David. The Holy Ghost has been alive and active since the beginning. He did not just come to earth at Pentecost as so many teach. The Spirit of God has always been in every person.
Mark 13:22
“For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.”
Satan is the biggest trickster and best magician of all time.
Mark 13:27
“And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.”
This is where the Lord takes home His 144,000. Their work is finished. They have all gone to sleep.
Mark 14:18-19
“And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me. And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? And another said, Is it I?”
At the Passover supper (The Last Supper) Jesus tells His disciples that one of them will betray Him. Notice – that they all knew it could be themselves. They all knew they were capable of betraying Jesus. Not one felt it could not be him. They all knew they were sinners, wretched. Unless you have come to this place yourself, one is very little use to the Lord. How many saved people feel they are good people? Yet every one of them would betray Jesus, for the right price, as you all would.
Additional teaching of Our Lord
The Passover meal (The Last Supper) was very informal. Most churches, which prescribe to a Holy Communion or Eucharist, have made their ritual very formal, so that it can appear to be “Holy.” The Passover meal was a very leisurely gathering around Jesus with fellowship, as should be your meals together.
Mark14:22
“And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.”
The Lord’s Supper is often thought of as “Communion” or “Eucharist,” a ritual usually of wine and wafers representing the Lords body and blood. Yet this practice in the early church was a “full meal,” a joining together before the Lord in communion (common faith) and (fellowship).
Mark 14:31
“But he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise. Likewise also said they all.”
Peter was so sure he would not deny Jesus. Yet, even though he is singled out, notice; that the other disciples said the same thing.
“Likewise also said they all” - anyone of these, could deny Jesus, just as any one of you could deny Jesus.
Mark 15:37
“And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.”
This, as written in the King James. In the New King James and the American Standard Bible, it says; “And breathed His last.” Jesus did not die like other men. Other men die because their bodily organs refuse to function. Jesus died when He surrendered up His spirit, His Holy Spirit. He gave up the ghost. When the Holy Spirit (The Ghost) left Him, He died. He did not live as other men and He did not die as other men. He surrendered, He chose to die.
Mark 16:15
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
Jesus is speaking to His original disciples; the ones He has prepared – He is not speaking to us now. Those preaching the gospel today are prepared by religion, not by Jesus. We are to proclaim the gospel and the truths of Christ – not preach it. No one yet today is qualified to preach it. To preach it, you must have lived it, as the early church did. Today, you are living it, but you are not yet ready to preach it.
“To every creature” means creation, even the goats are to know of the gospel. Jesus is not a secret. Paul did not live with Jesus, yet he did live the gospel, for on the road to Damascus, he was crucified with Christ. (Christ was the instrument of his crucifixion) as all knowledge was given to him. Just as John the Baptist knew, so did Paul.
Mark 16:16
“He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that be -lieveth not shall be damned.”
Jesus is not saying you must be baptized to be saved. You know that you do not need to be baptized to be saved (the criminal on the cross). What He is saying is that the person who is saved will start the process of baptism by the Holy Spirit. The baptism is the Holy Spirit working in you to change you, “Exchange” you, to make you a new person. The Holy Spirits baptism is by fire, trials, and ordeals. Many change little, for they refuse to be changed. Yet, the spirit will continue to work throughout ones life, never ceasing. Man baptizes with water, God with the Holy Spirit.
Baptized here means the Holy Spirit, not a ritual. One does not need to be baptized by the Holy Spirit to have eternal life, yet to be saved from the world you must.
In the early church, before Constaine, the Holy Spirit baptized almost all Christians. Now, religion baptizes them and keeps them from the Holy Spirit.
All goats are damned, they cannot believe, it is not in them. Many put on “Christian” robes and say “Christian” things, yet they have no heart for it.
Mark 16:17-18
“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
In order to have these gifts, one must not only believe in Jesus, but also the gifts themselves. One must have the heart of a servant and have no self-interest. One must be a true disciple, and these gifts go with him as a sign to the world.
Many believe healing of the ill is included in the sign gifts, but it is not. Jesus heals today, but not through the laying on of hands as so many believe. The original apostles had the gift of raising the dead and the healing of the ill. This gift was replaced by the Holy Spirit who came into all men, only He alone, determines who will remain ill and who rise from the dead, all from within each person. The apostles or disciples no longer determine it.
Many claim to have God’s gift of heeling the ill, they do not. The Holy Spirit heals from within each person. Many claim they have this anointing. Indeed, claim credit for healings. They have nothing to do with it, except those healed by soul power. (Satan) Satan does work his miracles of healing through many self – interest ministries. Where there is self – interest, there is Satan.
One cannot do God’s work and receive personal benefit. If you live and prosper from your ministry, it is not of God. If you claim the sign gifts and use them to support yourself, or your ministry or your church they are not of God. The world teaches that all one must do is to claim. Yet to claim is to seize, to take. You do not seize a gift; you accept a gift gratefully, humbly.
The Copeland’s and others are from the “name it and claim it society.” That is not My way. My gifts are to be used to build faith, not to build ministries, churches or religions.
To have soul power all one must do is claim it. To have spiritual power all one must do is accept it. So many do not know how to accept My gifts. Today is a time of Great demonic power. Demonism was last so rampant in the Roman Empire. Many today are driven or influenced by un-clean spirits; these un-clean spirits go virtually un-checked.
“Speak with new tongues” – is different languages, not utterance by the Holy Spirit.
“on the sick” – are not those that are ill. Sickness brings affliction, yet it is caused by spiritual problems, sin. Illness comes not because of sin.
Additional teaching of Our Lord
When one belongs to God – then what God does to you, He does to Himself.
